Bosatsu(Bodhisattva), Buddhist saint-1
This mask was created Kamakura period (1180-1333).
These masks are called GYODOUMEN.
When people hold a memorial service for a departed soul at temple, some selected  Buddhists perform wearing these masks and queue, parade on the bridge which was built as an stage.
Ordinary 26 masks were used, and each mask has different expression.
This mask comes with a crown and in the the middle of the forehead, real
crystal was fixed into forehead. Inside of crystal, wrote the name of Bosatsu in Sanskrit letter.
